immobiliser issues

Hi gang, new boy here!!!

Just bought a R19 16v convertible with more keyfob and buttons than you could throw a stick at!
I've got a clifford alarm/immobiliser which i was told to turn the ignition key to 2 and push one of the buttons which now doesnt do a thing so i'm stranded!
My question is does anyone have any savvy on how to unwire and remove all this stuff and is it just a case of tracing back the wires and pulling it out!!!

I'd appreciate any thoughts

hard to answer as it depends inherently on how it was installed, but yes, tracing back and removing/reconnecting wires is as much as can be said in the general case, i'm afraid..

did you not get a separate fob for the alarm

just pull it out, you will have to reconnect some wires but it won't take long.
