Phase II for Sales on Ebay: Phase II - Illiad Blue

Not much information:

HK05 ZTD - 2005 Registration
Taxed December, MOT May 2015
19500 miles
Service history
Lady owner last 7 years only used in the summer month (Love the 'Lady Owner' comment :) )

Seems to be standard except for a Quicksilver exhaust and Viper induction kit.

KTR sticker on the front and rear bumpers - has it been serviced, maintained or fettled by K-Tech?

This is the one I've seen driving around my area since July this year.

Mainly a lady driving but on one occasion it was a male.

The first two photographs are taken in a car park near Church Warsop, Mansfield. Sad I know but I just recognised the place!

Chesterfield??? Where has this been hiding? Not seen it about?

Matt, do you know of it?

I don't mate. It's not the one near us when we looked through the hedge and took a pic is it?

#020 back on eBay for £25K, same mileage (19,500 miles): LINK

It was up for £14K in October, but appears to have been sold off eBay: LINK

Would have been an absolute bargain at the original starting price of £14,000...........

Either way the asking price has increased - nice! :approve:

Thats an interesting one, not super low miles, not high miles, but a hefty price.

I would have said 20k - 22k would be a more realistic price, especially as its been modified.

Not that im complaining, will make mine seem a bargin in comparison and hopefully push the price up!

Don't think #020 has been modified.

Once can choose not to have the Vee serviced, certainly not by K-Tec, who seem to have a less than enviable reputation, so will be able to negotiate a better price.

I personally have no experience of using K-Tech for any work.

Advert says 'summer use only', i spotted this car on numerous accession throughout the year around where I live.

It's a shame they get bought and passed on quick in order to make a quick buck. Would have been better going to an enthusiast that appreciates them for what they are. If I'd have seen it sooner, as seeing as it was local, I may have gone for it...hindsight eugh!

Back on eBay Clio v6 - HK05 ZTD

Begs the question, is there a problem with this car.

Here's some of the advert text:

Series 2 very low mileage car 19500 (which may rise slightly as we can't keep out of it)!

Fully documented history and full service history. All paperwork is with this car from new!

Summer use only by fastidious previous owners, last lady owner for 6 years with limited use.

Or maybe they want to much money

dulan says it went from auction to fixed 25k

No chance of 25k with those tyres- plus the stickers dont help!

Also crappy fitting exhaust thats to big for the car-
Shame it looks ok overall-

Renault cambelt as well! 2011

As I said I have no direct experience, but have a read here: LINK

Granted they have stepped up, taken it on the chin and seem to have fixed the issue, but given that it was a fundamental mistake on KTR's part that led to an engine rebuild, I would feel nervous, especially since there is another specialist who we know is top notch.

Fair doo's. KTR used to be okay. (Until GDI got involved) I believe there back on their own again.

I think it's fair to say that all specialists have had a few mishaps...

May be, but in the many years of dealing with marque specialists I have never had such an experience (nothing even remotely close), so the above just does not sit well with me. Cannot say the same for main dealers though, since there have been some mishaps (when under warranty), but again none that comes close to the above!
