Idle Adjustment?

G

Guest

My Idle problem has come back again now!

I have attached a video below, it seems I can change the idle by pressing on the throttle posistion sensor... Anyone know how I can adjust this as it doesnt seem to be the ISCV or speedo causing this!

i got sort of same problem but its ok then wen it starts idlin it goes really rough and low revs, someone sez it might be afta market cams doin it but im not sure :S

sounds like the tps is fucked then mate, loosen the screws and reset it, thats what i did with mine, there are resistance readings for it to set it up correctly but i find they never quite work so i just wiggle it till it idles right

It does it from cold and when its been run.

Do you have any sort of guide of how to do this Coops?

How hard is it to replace the TPS all togther and how much would that cost?

As far as I know mate you cant buy the TPS seperate from the TB!!

But you should try replacing the Coil Pack first (if you have a spare) as Ronee's car had the same problem and it was the coil!!!

Get a 2nd hand throttlebodie from someone off here with no frayed wires, and that works 100%

Airbox off, and unclip the TPS sensor, then there are 4 torx bolts and thats it. Mind you they are usually pretty dam stiff.
