I stuffed up.

I bought a load of the shiny bolts from RPD ages ago - thinking I was getting new versions of the rusty looking screw.
They're from the row under the front bumper. Anyone got the correct part number?

Both ph1 and ph2 bumpers shown

My computer doesn't like that link... :ihatpcs:

I'm sure I ordered the "wrong" parts from a technical picture... hmm...

I could access the manual from my iPad...

...from the Mk I pictures: it looks like I should have ordered part no. 77 03 016 519

I assume it's the same component for the Mk II. :s

Don't forget the clips item 16 on page 85 ;)
Part number 77 03 046 082
Might have to ring RPD myself for a set :approve:

It was approx £1/screw (ooh-er missus!) and £1.20/clip. RPD will take 5-10 days.

Do you recommend attaching 6mm nylon washers (2mm thick) for fitting the Russosport splitter? (Or will it create a nightmarish dirt trap)

I didn't bother using anything, but if your after protecting the bumper paint from the fibreglass chaffing then how about some double sided sponge tape? ( the sort of stuff number plates held on with ) Fit a bit around the inner edge of the splitter and trim flush with the edge prior fitting splitter :approve:
The nylon washers would created a small gap underneath but I think you'd be more concerned with the front painted lip ;)

Yes indeed!

I'm off to Crete in two days and was hoping to leave the Vee at the paintshop during my hols... the screw-up with the wrong screws has scuppered that!

So I now expect to be at Prescott with unpainted lip (it matches the Mk II grills conveniently) - but the finished AY item on show at Kimbolton. ; )
