I now own a Clio V6

This weekend I went to Germany and drove home in a 2002 Clio V6 Ph1.
It runs like a dream but the paint is in bad condition. It's been standing outside for ten years with no TLC at all. But a paint job is easy to fix.
I've been dreaming about this for years and it feels great.

Paint and a few other bits to sort no doubt you'll find, but main thing is you've finally got a Vee. Let the enjoyment begin.

Congratulations! :approve:

Would be good to see some pictures once the work is complete.

Enjoy..........

Congratulation!
Had a similar trip last year (a couple of more km though...)

Where in Germany did you get it from?

I'll try to update with pictures along the way. I bought the car 30 km from Frankfurt. That's like 900 miles from where I live, but enjoyed every minute of it. The v6 much better on long trips then I thought. Now I have to arrange with registration in Sweden.

Now my V6 is parked in my new garage. I can now start the work with new tires and som bodywork repaires.

Congratulations Daniel, that looks in very good condition from the photos and wouldn't think that car has been left out in the elements for 10 years :salut:
( Was expecting green mould everywhere and generally looking worse for ware when I read the opening comment )

Oh and :welcome: to vee ownership

That's looking very good, Daniel, and the car has come home! How far away are you from the old TWR factory in Uddevalla, where your car was made?

Perhaps a pilgrimage there next year and some photos?!

Mark

It looks good I a distance. I think the sun has dried out the fiberglass in some way. There is "cracks" in the paint on all fenders, the left air intake and front bumper is cracked. But I love it.

I live 400km from Uddevalla, but I have a summer house just 30 km from the factory. So I go there several times a year. Next year I have to stop and take some pictures.

I love my garage, I built it just for my Vee.

Maybe It's time for an update.

It's a lot of things going on right now, but here you have some pics of the progress.

Hi , where did you get the sill stickers from ? And how much were they. Thanks

I was interested in getting a set of decorative strips earlier this year. I'm sure these are the part numbers and prices for the strips from RPD:

60 20 014 292 - £127.14

60 20 014 293 - £127.14

I bought the stripes from Renault. At first the price was like 280£ each, but then i sent a request to make a correction of the price. And now it's about 50£. This is in Sweden, but maybe its possible in the UK as well.
I can get you the part numbers for ph1 if you want.

Daniel
