It's always good to have that part you want without major delay, but I confess I take a different view.
If I was a UK Renault parts dept manager, I would keep very little on the shelf for a v6. Seen a few loose their jobs because they gave in to the fitters at the back counter shouting "We always use these". If parts gather dust your job is very much on the line, and I'd have that manager out on his ear pronto. Even initial mandatory stock lines would I hope have been shifted back to their HQ.
