How to tune a Renault Laguna 2.0T 163hp

Hi everyone, i found a cheap Laguna 2 2003 2.0T 163hp that i need help with some questions.

they said that they have the old Sagem 2000 system in this cars and the newer Sagem 3000 in 2005-2007 170hp. And the old Sagem 2000 system is hard to remap.

My questions is then: Can you remap the old S2000 with some Renault RS Parts bolt on and get like Megane RS performance ? If not..
Can you take a Reseted Self learning PnP ECU Sagem 3000 and mount it on the older Sagem 2000 cable harness and just start it ? If Yes, then i have a much easier OBD2 Tuning that i can use to Remap it.

If you dont have the answer, is there somewhere else i can turn this question to ?
Im in the middle of spending money on this Laguna PH1 instead of buying a -05 PH2. I dont wanna because they dont look as good as the PH1 :D
 
Ofcourse, im fully aware of engine parts that i have to swap out, like Turbo, Cams, injectors and so on. The thing i want to know is if the S2000 ECU can be remapped for this kind of changes. I dont want to change all the ecu harness just to get the S3000 ECU system. Or is it any other Plug n Play ECU boxes on the market like Megasquirt ?

I really like the Laguna 2 PH1 look instead of the PH2 from 2005-2007.
 
why not just buy a second hand 225 turbo they are super cheap? direct fit and good for 270bhp and a 250rs turbo will nudge over 300bhp.

i think your engine may be higher comp than the bigger stuff though so may cause you issues. definitely has different pistons to the 225 last time i checked.

No, you do not need another manifold. It's the very same in yours than in Megane II F4Rt or Megane III F4Rt or Laguna II/III F4Rt. You just need that bigger turbo. TD04-14T can be taken from the F4R-774 (Meg II RS), F4R-784 (Lag II GT), F4R800/802 (Lag III GT), and TD04-15T from the F4R-874 (Meg III RS & GT220).

At least one TD04-14T (F4R-774) seems to be for sale in bildelsbasen.se, but that one is overpriced (5.000 SEK).

Pretty much the same price, but this one from Lag III GT is a bit more reasonable as its mileage is only 50t. Ok, still a bit overpriced, but... you just have to negotiate a lower price :grin.gif:.

Anyhow, as mentioned earlier you cannot tune it too much because of partly different internals and higher compression ratio (9.5/1) compared to TD04-14T engines (9.0/1) or TD04-15T engines (8.5/1).
