how do you remove door lock

can anyone help, i'm trying to remove the door lock on the driver's side of my renault laguna lll coupé. it's got the hands free central locking system on it. i've got as far as releasing the locking mechanism and even figured out how to remove the little triangle bit at the rear of the handle, i just can't see how to remove the handle and the lock on the inside of the door to remove it. i'm thinking it the same or similar to a megane.
it's getting annoying the door doesn't always open for the outside an i have to climb in the passenger side to open it.
please help

thanks Andy that's a big help, it looks similar to what i've got although it's hard to tell as you can't see a dam thing up inside the door, it doesn't have a locking barrel on the o/s but i don't think that'll change anything. if i can just get the handle off i might have a chance to see how the rest of it comes out. it'll have to wait till the weekend and i'll have another go at getting it out
