how do I either fix or remove my immobiliser?

G

Guest

Whenever I turn my car off and leave it for a while I have to enter a code into the door locking button to disable the immobiliser. For example, I have to hold the button down for 5 flashes, then 7 then 2 then 3. And re button will unlock/unlock both doors but the key in the locks won't engage the central locking at all.
Is there a way I can:
A. Fix the immobiliser
B. Remove the immobiliser
C. Make the central locking work the key
D. Make the remote locking work?

Can I just fit a ph1 ecu? Btw my car is a ph3 1.4s

your better of taking alook in the yellow pages buddy, fitting a ph1 ecu wont solve it i dont think, as it isnt a Renault alarm/immob..

Alarms are a pain the backside tbh lol

I don't understand, what do u mean it's not a Renault alarm?

Thanks for your input btw, much appreciated!

i dont know, its linked to the original locking button on the centre console by the gearknob, im presuming its renaults standard immob?

Ph1 ecu will by-pass the immob[\quote]

Ah right, is that a definite? Will it slot straight into a ph3? And where would I get one and for how much?

i havent said it was an aftermarket one!!

it is linked to the button in the centre console and i have no evidence that it was ever fitted with an aftermarket alarm/immob.

Where can i get a ph1 ecu? Or am i missing something that might say that it is an aftermarket?

i was just saying if it is an aftermarket 1 its not as simple as changing the ecu
