got in the car this morning to go to work and fired it up, as soon as the engine started there was an extremely loud hissing from the engine bay. So i pulled the covers off for a look... Couldn't see anything a miss and there were no fuel smells etc... So decided to drive to work and see if it went away.

Got out of my estate and down a steep hill into a 90 degree bend when i realised I had no brakes at all! Luckily i was going slowly cos it was wet!!

So im guessing the vac pipe for the servo has come loose or split? anyone had this before? Funny how it was ok on the way home last night and seems to have popped off over night?

Well, found out where the pipe had come off. The servo pipe that connects to the inlet plenum had pulled out of the rubber joining pipe. I guess it had come loose when i took the inlet manifold off to change the coil... Anyway sorted now and I have brakes :)

Just something to check I guess if you do the same!
