hoping someone might be able to help me out with a small car electrical glitch
so hoping i can come over to someone who knows a bit about car electrics
its hopefully the last little niggle i need sorting before i get down and detail it :thumb:
its to do with the blower unit on the Kia, described in pics..........
this is the unit, and in this position it didnt work

when you applied a bit of pressure on the lever, it worked in this position

this position

and this position

put it in this position, or anywhere between them, it didnt work

while looking for a fuse box under the glovebox, to see if the ciggie light fuse had blown, as it too wasnt working, i saw this,

so plugged it back in, and the ciggie lighter worked, and so did the blower unit, on all settings....

except one small detail.................. it doesnt switch off in the off position! although it doesnt stay on when the key is taken out of the ignition, so im happy that its safe to leave unattended and locked up ok
this is the wiring under the glovebox, hope this helps

im suspecting this is the culprit unit, but was wondering if theres a bad earth or something, just need some confirmation

so, can someone help me out pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease, willing to travel to hampshire, surrey, west sussex, or maybe further if needed
TIA guys, i just HATE electrics, full stop
