5 GT Turbo Help identifying gearbox JB3 S04

No , not always - its just the second generation 5.

Well the S denotes that it is a service exchange box from Renault.

How do you mean service exchange @Red21 ? Exchanged for a box with an issue ? Or refurbished ?

The vehicle to which this box was originally fitted to at some point in its life had a problem with the factory fitted box & was replaced with this JB3 S04 exchange box which would have been factory rebuilt to production specification with brand new internals if they were even the slightest bit out.
The correct term would be"Re manufactured" & not a rebuild overhauled box.
