5 GT Turbo GT Turbo - Mis-firing - Help

Hi all

I'm new to the world of posting and require your help. I serviced my H-reg GTT over the weekend, did an engine flush as it said on the can, changed the oil, oil filter, cleaned the air filter, spark plugs, leads rotor arm and managed to break the new distributor cap so refitted the old one for now. When I tried to re-start the car it ran but really rough. Any tips from the people in the know?
Thanks in advance.

Firing order correct? Check the ignition bits.

Would not recommend using an engine oil flush in these either, prob wont do any harm but you dont want to be disturbing 30 year old crud.

Brigsy, thank you for that, I did check the firing order and all good there, I even put the old plugs and leads back on but its the same. I am about to completely strip the car down for a total rebuild, but don't want to strip the car down with the engine not running - if that makes any sense!

No problem, would not worry about the current misfire if it was running ok prior, can always sort that after the rest of the work is done, they are always pretty simple to fix.

Not sure what ign bits you have used, but a lot of them are crap now, misterauto sell the original Bougicord leads, and use a good quality ducellior cap and rotor arm.
