Groupbuy - Jacquemin Tuning RS500 Style Intercooler

i have contacted a company in america about this size intercooler, hope to have a reply soon, will keep you posted

regards johnspin

listen,

my intercooler cost me 600€ (the cup one), my radiator (custom) 500€ (with 2x spalfans), top quality.

I can make an intercooler in that same quality if someone give me the right sizes and connections, mounts ect ect ect, or a model. Then its possible make a good price.

That thing from remy costs 680€ (!!!) and it cover compleetly the radiator...bey bey airflow/cooling.

It would be better if whe designed one ourselfs that fits 2/3 in the bump and 1/3 covers the rad.

Say the word and i go on with this.

2 options: std bump and cup/prima/other aftermarket bump.

Out off the question: you need the airco type fans or spal's/some other brand, they have to be flat. NOT POSSIBLE WITH PH1/2 LARGE FAN MOTORS.

Well the missus and I are in usa for all from june till august so while I'm there I can go ask round a bit n see what is available? Might as well cuz we like to go to St Louis drag strips and several others.
Theres always small firms doing one off's, bit's for people and small run's so I'll see whats about if ya like. Might be quite cheap too!! u never know??

Good point Jo! I will check em out well and run it past everyone first if I do find anything.
Most stuff you get in usa is usually built pretty well, (They have to cuz people like to try n take em to court for anything lol!!)

i got a reply from usa this is what they said ,We do not have an Intercooler-Core with the exact Dimensions, but the Core we propose will have the same,or better, Performance, because it is of Bar&Plate-Design (the one shown in your e-0mail is a Tube&Fin-Typr Core).
We propose to use a Core with the Dimensions A= 2.25" (57.15 mm), B= 17.3" (439.42 mm), C= 18.0" (457.2 mm), Pipe-Diameter 2.375" (60.325 mm).
The List-Price for this Custom-Intercooler Assembly, complete, as shown on the Photographs, including (2) Mounting-Brackets and one Hose-Nippel for the Crank-Case Ventilation, is $ 970.00, plus Freight.
We do offer Discounts for Group-Buys; for the Order-Quantity of (10) Units, a Discount of 12% applies; hence, the Unit-Price would be $ 853.60.
The Lead-Time for (10) Intercoolers is (6) Weeks.
In Case you decide to place an Order, we would need a few Dimensions from you, e.g. Pipe-Length, the Angle of the Pipes, relative to the Intercooler-Face, and the Distance Center-to-Center of the Pipes; then, we produce a Drawing for you to approve, before we start the Manufacturing-Process.

Regards,
Gerhard Schruf
so not as cheap as i thought:waah:

yes, If it's a price quote from the us, unless they say so it won't include tax!

Taxes weight in at 27.5% FYI.

17.5% for VAt , and generally ~ 10% for parts.

Radtec have promised to submit a quote tomorrow, They thought they already had apparently, hmmmm.

I will post more news as and when

Not really Dave, They have been a customer of mine for a while now and seem to do a lot of work for owners clubs

I don't have any money spare this month anyway, but the sooner I know the sooner I can start putting some money aside if the quote is fair.
