Groupbuy - Jacquemin Tuning RS500 Style Intercooler

I've been speaking to Sylvain at Jacquemin Tuning in France regarding their RS500 Stlye front mount intercoolers for the 21 turbo.

The price for single unit is 605 euros (around £410), however with a group buy of 5 units this drops to 580 Euros (around £395) and with a group buy a 10 units this drops to 530 Euros (around £360).

The intercooler will fit behind a standard 21 Turbo front bumper, and front top member, nosecone and grille, only the standard radiator cooling fans will need to be changed for slim ones.

The dimensions are:
Length: 440mm
Width: 550mm
Depth: 45mm
Core Surface Area: 410mm X 410mm
Pipe Diameter: 60 mm
Internal Volume: 10147.5 cm3 (1.43 times larger volume than the Original Coolers)

I would be interested in it. But will hoses follow with it? And does any one know which other radiator fans that would fit then? But definately interested..

Hoses would be down to yourself to sort out.
I'd look for a 2wd Sierra Cosworth, Turbo to Intercooler hose for the inlet side.
For the cooler outlet to throttle plenum hose a 60mm diameter to the diameter of the plenum straight hose is what suitable, for this try Rally Design.

As for rad fans I recently threw out all my dimensions for the standard fans, I'm running a pair of Spal 11" fans now they are about 1/3 the depth of the standard fans.
A figure of 50mm extra space created infront of the rad sticks in my head... that would need to be checked if anyone has some figures to hand?

JO, shut up...

The story is that Remy has an agree with forge. My idea...if you go to forge and tell them that you want 5 off those...bey bey agreement. 600+€ for the IC is way over the top. I can get a custom made calculated one for less. No offence to the french guy's butt this is a real rip off.

And if whe are honest, i'm getting sick off the french "all for me" attitude. Persons like Teo, phill , gigi, xavier and others sharing things and thats what i like and what i want.

I know darren quite well as he's a customer of mine and I am well over due a visit but I've been incredibly busy

I will set up a deal for 21TOC members, I will also ask about Radiators and a kit price including Rad, FMIC and associated pipework

Those dimensions came straight from the topic on these intercoolers from the french r21turbo.com forums.

If we plan on using these dimensions to have a seperate batch made up I think its a wise idea to check them against my car to see if the cooler would fit.

I have been to see the guy's today and they are going to supply a price for the intercooler alone, the intercooler bolted to an all Ali rad and a kit price inc. Intercooler, Rad, Fans and pipework.

I have offered to get my car up there for measuring and testing but I'm sure andy rabson can throw some light on the physical size as his FMIC came from radtec too

I found out today that Radtec produce the Rads for Forge also

just wondering, did you make forge aware that you were from the UK and not france?
as it seems odd that they sent you to a french supplier?? as ime sure they originaly supplied the intercooler to one of the old members of 21toc, and then i believe remy found he could get them through jacquemin
