GROUP BUY: Recaro Sportster CS / Trendline Lower Seat Mounts

Jim now has these installed with excellent feedback received from him and he actually gained 40mm lower with the new brackets.

Jim will be doing a full write up very soon on these and then we can get the group buy under way :)

AMAZING

JIM, lets have some feedback, it sounds great!

Thanks for the reply Jonny I am ready when you are to place my order.

Ok, so got to fit these over the w/e, got to say, awesome!, Jonny managed to get a test set fab'd & over to me. Have to say I expected some issues as Jonny did them sight unseen ( just based upon my originals which i sent over to him for comparison ) with no subframe, no test fitting & for a LHD etc.....they fitted first time perfectly [smilie=yay.gif]

I measured up with the old brackets fitted, took some pics & with the new, got about 40mm gain, however to really appreciate this you just have to sit in the seat with the new brackets & feel the difference, it is just amazing. I am 6ft 2'' & have always sat really high up in the seat with the original brackets, high compared to the door card ( when putting my arm there to rest ) & high vs the steering, I always thought it was such a shame, a great seat but way too high!, now tho, it's just great, my only disappointment was that i didn't actually get to drive as it's sorn'd at the moment ( don't think i didn't try to drive it just round the block, alas i also had a flat battery  ).

Anyway, below there's some pics should explain things far better;

Thanks Jim,

I am very excited about these brackets, pictures explain the situation well.

Thanks to both of you for the research.

Thanks for the write up Jim.

Have you any of the brackets which were fabricated to show people?

Now to get back to the group buy.

Put your names on the list below if interested in a set.

Price's are as stated in the first post. The more the merrier.

Damn, it's about the only thing I didn't take pics of, I meant to before I put them in the car but a brief break in the rubbish weather over here made me rush to fit them before I'd get soaked.

I'm really rather rubbish at taking pics but here's some more I have that show the bracket nearest the centre console fitted ( please note that my centre console is out for refurb & not related to the fitting of the new brackets ).

Any more orders before I put this batch into production?

Thanks,
Jonny

Hey Jonny,

Posted a message over on cliov6passion.fr LINK

Hope it helps get more people with Sportsters interested in this awesome improvement

Cheers,

jim

Apologies for the slow response to your PM Jonny, I've been trying to decide whether I actually need these, I have come to the conclusion that my passenger seat needs to be lower.

Put me down for a set of these please, I haven't added myself to the list because Its unclear who else is actually on it?

Nearly sure these same mounts will fit the trendline seats if anyone wants to check if the recaro mounts are the same as the pictures on the previous page?

Confirmed that these also fit the recaro trendline seats if anyone is interested in a set put your name on the list or drop me a PM.

You will need to ensure you have the recaro adjuster bar fitted otherwise the seat will foul the standard clio handle.
