**We require that you have owned and driven a performance rear wheel drive car for the last 12 months**

Greenlight where over 400 cheaper than anyone but said this !! never heard of this before is there anyway around this ??

They would probably want to see a previous document (unless they search you on the car insurance database) showing that you were insured to drive a RWD performance car and that the details show that you also own it, if you dont have the document I would expect them to refuse to insure you.

I can understand why they ask though.

I can totally understand why they do it just never heard of it at all !! any other ideas they qouted £997 nearest other qoute was £1408 with admiral looks like am just gonna have too pay it !! [smilie=icon_cry.gif]

Hi, I just bought a 255 and got insured at Hagartys.

I don't know your circumstances but I almost went down the route of a normal Company till I found these.
For a garaged, second car with limited mileage of 3000 a year they agreed a value of 15K (fixed for the next 3 years if I stay with them) with £350 excess.
They don't do no claims discount.
There is a minumum age for certain cars.

Premium was £354

Worth a punt?

Cheers, Matt

They didn't ask me this directly but did ask how long I owned the car (probably like everyone else which explains why they may not have asked you)

We ran into similar problems when pricing up a Scooby for the wife though. No history of performance 4WD = they didn't want to know.
