ok i have both green and yellow. Just wondering which will give better performance. yellow figures read in little boxes ... on the connector, four numbers running along the injector.... YELLOW...
566
(Connector)957 << 280 150 830

GREEN...

169
(CONNECTOR)957 << 280 150 823

Can any1 tell me what these numbers are on the far right? and which will be best injectors for performance?? They are a one off buy. Not a standard renault injector. The mechanic i got them off said they are racing injectors(GREEN ONES) and he drove the renault 19 1.8 16v he put them in and it was a different car completely. Im afraid to put them in in case its running too lean. Ive read on the net the yellow give 200cc/min at 3bar where the green give 195cc/min but those are standard injectors i think not these ones?? Any1 know what these numbers are and can tell me which ones are the best? Thanks.

this is what i can tell u mate, i think the yellows are for the clio 1.8 16v and teh green for the 19 1.8 16v, my clio came with yellow, i have brought 3 more engines that came out of a 19 and they were all green. not sure if that is correct.

problem is one of the standard yellows went bust so i ordered another off winston but post hasnt come yet. I bought 4 green off a renault 19 16v 1.8 today for breaking and the mechanic there said theyd work a treat in the clio. Has any1 tried these in the clio??

will the green work in the clio and will they work better/the same/worse than the yellow injectors??

yeah i have could not feel any diff mate, so go with them. they won't do any damage. there maybe about 2-4 bhp diff witch you can't feel or tell.

not sure mate, but if the green are 195cc and the yellow are 200c then it would be -bhp.

well i realise that!! its just the guy who took them out of the old engine said he also put them in it and they were racing injectors not the standard ones. so i suppose worth a try. Il be heading over to my mechanic in the morning to get them in so hope it all works out. was just hoping some1 might be able to tell me what those numbers are on the injectors above. Thanx for ur help 16-valver much appreciated. spent a fortune on this car since i got it last year!in the garage 10 weeks now...almost everything replaced/re-wired/re-conditioned in the hope i can have a problem free valver for 10years!!! :)

You won't see that much of a difference if the fuel pump and pressure regulators are the same. Check to see if the spray patterns are different on the injectors too. If it has more holes but smaller diameter then it is generally used with a higher pressure fuel pump for finer spray pattern therefore better emmissions, and if less holes with bigger diameter, used with lower pressure fuel pump etc.

*Note* I have not looked at the Renault stuff before, just going on experience with Bosch stuff on Vauxhalls, but they are all much of a muchness.

Theoretically if you have modified a car the greens would be better with the right pressure regulator and fuel pump. But on a standard car they will do pretty much bugger all as the fuelling requirements have not actually changed.

green shoot 195cc
yellow 200cc

5cc difference

and i seen both on clios and 19s 16v all different years

well found this site... theres no difference whatsoever between the green and yellow other than colour!
www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com
yellow..0-280-150-830... 18.25LBS/HR,191.8CC/MIN,138GRAMS,43.5PSI,3BAR.
green...0-280-150-823... 18.25LBS/HR,191.8CC/MIN,138GRAMS,43.5PSI,3BAR.

so just for any1 wondering... the only difference is colour. yellow-clio 1.816v green R19 1.8 16V I have bought 1 off winston but its a week and a half and no sign of it. :( Have to miss our car club meet tonight and a photo shoot tomorrow with slick mag. It sucks over one injector! cant find 1 anywhere round this country.Got 4 out of an r19 but they were all seized with rust.Could take weeks to order new bosch yellow ones and the cars been in the emchanics garage for 11weeks now.
