Great South East Meet - Pics

Well despite the Great British weather throwing rain, hail stones and snow in Southend, Five R19s made it to the pub along with Bidderman's Rover and Mals's Scenic

If you are wondering, the concrete bollards seperate the car parks, Baz, Mals and me parked in one side, the rest in the other side lol

It was really good to meet the owners of these two cars, Jay who has Neal's old chamade and Dale (bigfoot) the owner of the 2nd chammy there.

it was also cool to finally meet Malcolm (Benzo) who owns the blue ph2 hatch we first saw at WSR 2007 and nice seeing Tom again who brought the only ph1 along

The food at the pub was very well priced and Tom, Malc, Jay and Dale all had fat bastard sized meals and me actually being a fat bastard had something smaller lol

Bazza turned up after the food was eaten and mals came along a bit after that.

we then went down southend sea front and hit the arcades, Mals making £19 from a fiver after about 30 seconds of being there lol

but due to the sub zero temps and ice starting to form on the cars, we decided to call it a night.

Well I got back to where I was going in about an hour lol

My the front of the car was up in the air in the photos cos I had a lot of weight in the back - and not just presents for simon

I was mightily impressed when I turned up at 14:05 to see three other 19s there already - and proud to be the only non-blue, non-phase 2 there!

Good meet, good lunch, good to see everyone again! Also Jay it was great to meet you for the first time, and welcome to the club, see we're not all weirdos, well some of us anyway

Race? what race? i was doing less than 30 mph most the of way there so the rest of you could keep up and see where we was heading to.

every now and again i booted it just so Baz could see a 19 16V in action and how quickly it left his rover behind lol

You should have looked in your rear view, I took the racing line at the Sutton Road roundabout at ooo must be 29mph lifted the foot of the 'GAS' and the back end went wonky as I passed a 19 on the inside
