GORDINI TYRES

IF YOU FIT THE 175 50 13 TYRE DO YOU NEED TO ALTER ANYTHING RE FOULING ON FULL LOCK ETC?
OR DOES IT JUST DROP ON?
HAS ANYONE FITTED BRIDGESTONE POTENZAS? OR DUNLOP SP 2000? WAS RECOMMENDED YOKOHAMAS..

Can't advise on the Gordini, but at the same time can't see why there would be any probs? I've got 175 50 13 Yokos now and they're great, just need to consider speedo corrections and profile differences in height and arch clearances ( ie more ) see this link for more detail

I have just put 155/70 13 Firestone multi hawks on mine, a bit boring but as close as I could find to the original Firestone wide sport ovals. The 185/60 BFGs I had on before caught the arches on the back. Are the Turbo wheels wider than the
5 1/4J wheels on the atmo Gordini as the BFGs bulged really badly on the side walls aswell.

I've just used a tyre size calculator & that would give a + 5% (28mm) change in overall height & the recommended max is 2.5%. This will have the effect of raising the gearing & lifting the car by 14mm. The big thing is your speedo would read low. The 175/50 gives a -7.68% (-42mm) change so this will lower the gearing. The closest is a 175/60 -1.28 (-7mm) which is probably why the Turbo came fitted with that size

If you follow the link you can type the size you are trying to fit in against the original & get the difference.

Hope this helps
