Gordini Selector issue

Managed to get my 5 running tonight, after 4 years of hibernation. May well need a starter refurb, but my gear selection is the bigger issue.

Apparently after hitting a big pot hole the box got stuck in 2nd. The issue seems to be the selector shaft running through the rear of the box (or the front depending how you look at it!)
There's a lot of float, and it looks as though potentially something's kaput internally.
Before I pull the end cap off does anyone have any knowledge on these?....or spares???
thanks in advance.

Before going to far, have you checked the linkage set up? A Haynes manual describes the necessary settings for the spline shafts etc, worth a go first?

Not as yet Mark.
But I did undo the linkage from the selector shaft. It seems as though the selectors jammed.
I've also noticed that where the selector shaft meets the box there's a nylon bush held on by a grub screw.
Should this be retained in the gearbox?
Thinking pics may help.

Thanks very much Andrew.
I'll aim to see if I can salvage this one, it's either something silly or completely toast.
This forum is proving a lifeline.
May well be in touch!!

Hoping this is not too negative. My previous one had a similar issue, and had me chasing my tail all around the place. Turned out to be selector fork wear, and at the time spares seemed like unobtanium. Now with helpful people like Andrew might be a lot easier. In those times forums were somewhat unhelpful

Yeeha. I now have 2 spare 5 speed boxes in bits, so if anyone needs "stuff", these are atmo ones. My very knowledgabele "man" tells me that the linkages, externally are the thing to make it nice or bloody terrible.
