gordini atmo carbs tweaking etc

what do members do if anything to the carburettor ? - do you just service and balance it or do you replace?
are these after market air filters i've read about good? it seems an area where a lot of criticism is made of the original component...mine is an 82 gordini...thank you

Certainly the original set up is not the most efficient way of getting the air into the carb. I have left mine as is because I want to keep the car as original as possible.

There are more efficient filters that will fit (K & N etc) - i'm sure some of the others on here will know.

As for tuning the carb, I use a mobile tuner every six months or so. For £30 he keeps the mix right and the car goes great (even with the original filter).

I would recommend Mobiletuning in Kent - tel 01303 248473. He's old school so understands our age of car.

Blimey - everything goes up in price. It's about a year since he last did me as my car has not been used for a while.
