Gearbox Troubles!!!

Accelerating out of a roundabout tonight quite hard, and the gear change from 2nd to 3rd, went a bit wrong!

I somehow went straight to fifth and managed to release the clutch before finding 5th! Which resulted in crunching into 5th quite noisily! :icon_redface:

Anyway driving along the dual carriageway in 5th, let of the gas, and she pops out of 5th! Wont stay in 5th, and is a bloody pain in the arse!

Any ideas - and how easy/hard a fix is it :icon_sad:

Only as hard as taking out the box and stripping it down LOL

Pm sent back, but just check you haven't bent 1 of the 2 selector rods between the gearstick and box

How do you check ? lift gaitor off, or box out ?

Get hold of a pair you know are good and offer them up under the car

or was it both of them..

Probably found it in his garage of plenty........

Cracking result there kidney boy - hope all goes well with the swap........even with a LSD i'll still have you on the twisties......LOL
