Finally got the electrics installed and powered up. 6x LED strip lights - 5x double sockets - alarm & external lighting on sensors all wired into metal RCD protected board to 17th edition regs. Pretty much done now apart from screed on the floor to finish & paint walls etc. Soon be full of broken Renaults Free kitchen units at the back for storage off gumtree.

Finally got the rear side dividing fence done last week. 2 days work and 27mtrs done. Just the rear fence to do behind the garage now however easy 8mtrs

Price has shot up for fencing gear nowadays cost £500 for the lot. Pressure treated so will give it a couple of years before staining

Get a HVLP spray gun. Absolutely bloody brilliant and makes it ten times faster and less physical.



I have one of these from screwfix, for £55 its a steal for the time and effort saving.

Updates.

I hate cleaning the block paving on the drive. So the solution was to get more block

The lads are taking bets on if we get them back to do the rest next year
Now to get the fucker cleaned and sealed before winter comes

Like most things you can obtain the knowledge open source but gaining the skill results in the need of pratice and time which tend to be the problem......and those who do it all the time make it looks so easy

Nice little build there Brigsy! One of the many perks of moving to Aus was, generally speaking, houses are bigger and a 4 bed double garage is the norm. Problem with more space is you end up filling it with more stuff! I want to move a bit further from the city and get a bigger plot so I can build my dream shed/garage. All pipe dreams at the moment though.

I'm not sure if its been mentioned, but I'd paint the floor. I've done it on a few garages over the years and it has made cleaning so much easier.
