Fuel pump

I have recently changed my 1.4RT clio in to a 1.8 16v. I have got a wee problem with my fuel system some where as it get shot out my exhaust in a big black puff of reak. I think it is cause i am using a 1.4 Fuel pump, are the fuel pumps the same fittings as the 1.8 Pumps.

what year but yes in the main there the same

the 1.4 is on a K plate and the doner valver was on a J plate, So if i get fuel pump for a 1.8 it will fit.

A like to double check these things with people who know better than me

i think they were fitted with the same pump. black smoke is usually over fuelling

aye, i think since it was the 1.4 fuel pump is just sooking and sooking, no putting the right amount in,
