Fuego turbo carb flat spot...

Looking for some carb advice, Fuego shares same solex carb as GT, but has a 3rd enrichment jet or at least i think it does?. Car has a flat spot / hesitation around 3000 rpm, power through it and its fine as is the idle etc. So far, i have checked accelerator pump, cleaned main jet, new plugs, lead and dizzy cap. I did notice when I took off the intake plenum there was a black deposit lining the inside of the carb. Local MOT checked emissions for me, CO was above limit at 4,891 vs limit of 4500, but HC ok at only 315. Any other checks I should carry out?- Thanks

Not detected any air leaks, but when i removed the intake lobster, i was surprised to find lots of black residual lining the carb, it wiped off, but obviously is still dirty. Been out this morning, wound the mixture screw all the way in, didn't seem to make difference to the idle, took the needle out to check, looked ok, not broken, put back with just a couple of turns out from the bottom, no diffrence at the morning, i will book it in on a rolling road
