Front fog lights

My front fogs dont seem to be working on my Ph1. Anyone else have/had the same issues?

My garage say the bulbs blow when they change the bulbs. Before I take it to the next step & get the wiring checked. Is this a common fault with an easy fix?

Cheers

If I remember correctly the bulbs are halogen, maybe they touched them ? They should only be handled with a clean cloth or the packaging they are wrapped in.

Fairly easy to check the voltage at the bulb holder before trying more new bulbs.

It’s the salt and grease in your finger prints that attack the glass when it heats up, l wipe halogen bulbs with meths to clean them before installing and always use a few layers of tissue paper when handling. Voltage should be 12v dc on foglights, unless someone has converted them to xenon bulbs and you would then have a problem!
