hmm, which 96 clio is it, it could be one of two mate, is it the same as this?

hmm, im not quite certain the procedure as you can see in my beagle project my bumper had to be heavily modified to fit on for many many reasons, but i think theres 2 more 10 bolts on the front bottom near the centre, i can check the haynes tomorrow if i think of it but i think theres the two by the grille, 2 on the bottom, and one or two on each side in the arch through the valence along with a guide pin in each valance

iv glanced at the beagle thread
am i right in thinking that all the wiring is in place for the front fog lights? and where does the relay go

you are absolutely correct mate, wiring is there, if i recall correctly you will need to get a switch which will plug directly into the place to the right of the steering wheel, there are two blanking plates for sockets there, its the one to the very right, just pop out the blanking plate, the relay, when you open the fuse box door looking at it from the pass seat its the relay bay second from the right mate, youll find the wiring for the lamps themselves tucked away somewhere in the front end, mine were tucked in beneath the drivers side headlamp

the r19 fogs that i put in had surrounds but didnt fit perfectly so required slight modification, i have been told that the earlier meggy fogs will go in or better yet if you can find a clio in the scrappies with the fogs in tact then thats even better again

the breakers yard i go to had 3 or 4 clios in last time i went
as it seems its all plug and play to upgrade its got me wondering if the wiring is in place for electric window

i think they were, it was base spec like the beagle that neglected to have them, i dont have them and it suits me well for the van project however the plastics around my rear windows are designed to accomodate the opening handles, id say yours are too, fire up a project report, id love to see the adventures of another clio like mine

im going to start a project report soon all iv done so far is a strereo system and changed the clocks
i'll take some pics then start the report but please dont expect rapid progress for a few reasons 1 its a second car to get to work in (swmbo's car gets priority) 2we have 2 young children who spend my money faster than i earn it
i really want to start the report to see what everyone else thinks of it

I for one cant wait, even the slightest little things you do, document it all and put it up, youve seen some of the tiny little bits ive put up in mine, i find all of it really interesting to see. It's amazing too how little you have to spend to really enjoy a project, the beagle is being done on a shoe string and occasionally there are literally months between project report updates. Cant wait to see your one come together for you. Also if youre in a breakers you'd be amazed some of the cool things that will fit in your pockets without anyone noticing, new interior lights, switches, relays, the list goes on

winter is great because a big jacket doesnt look suspicious at all, now i just need to get a big enough jacket to fit a steering rack and an e7j block in

lol easy answer is take a mate and 2 tool boxes one with tools one empty then hey presto when you leave you have 2 full boxes lol
iv got a few ideas on what im doing to it and which direction i want it to go just need to see how long it will take to get there

tell me what the ideas are, id love to hear it, and on a rare occasion i may even be able to help, wait till you see the bizarre direction the beagle is taking, it involves oak laminate flooring
