Description

Kevins Passat is for sale

http://www.retro-renault.com/forums/non-renault/13296-passat.html

I will get some up to date photos of it, basically in addition to the report it has new boot lock mechanism, a silver coloured wing on it and blah blah.

It however has no tax or mot. For an MOT it requires

front end kit (the usual worn crap - kit is 100 quid off ebay)
some rear light bulbs (i stole some for other cars but could sort them out)
rear discs and pads (these are less than 40 quid at my factors)

Reason for sale DIVORCE so he isn't spending anything on it and if it doesn't sell its getting weighed in. I would have it but due to our issues with the laguna insurance crap I have 5 cars outside the front and 2 motorbikes so no room.

It drives ok, not exactly a rocket ship its a heavy car with a 1.8 engine, starts and runs fine, the door locks as usual don't work properly, although I believe he did buy the lock repair kit it just never got done. There is a new cambelt sitting there to go on and various other service bits that haven't got done.

Car is in GLASGOW, will need trailered away or if you book an mot and insure it you can book it in for one and drive it back that way.

V5 is here in his name, sorn'd again as its just over year since it was bought.

he is looking for £250 ish but it needs to go so open to offers. These still fetch decent money.

reply here or pm me for more details etc

well he was with her 12 years before they got married had a kid together (she already had 3!) then just after 3 years of marriage its over.

the only benefit to marriage is that it makes paperwork easier.

its the same here chris, paperwork and tax breaks to an extent but to be honest its not for me, was engaged for a while but it didnt work out, i think if i was with a girl for that long i might marry her but mainly for her benefit, over here (and possibly everywhere) it seems important for women that they get married at some point

I always wanted to get married cos and i'm quoting Chet here 'means you can legally push em down the stairs'

I jest.

Anyway I have been engaged a few times and I only asked one of them! MJ (she asked me btw) and me were getting married, rings bought, dresses bought, even booked the ceremony. Waste of money, she got pregnant and I fell out with her family as they are dicks and basically told her fuck off then I'm not interested in any shite.

So we remain unwed and have 2 kids (they have my name of course), she still has her wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses and over 1k in rings.

waste of money.

There are implications when moving abroad or travelling together etc as it makes it difficult depending on where you go.

personally i would never rule anything like that out but id never be doing it for me, im not a religious guy at all, i have no problem with that kind of thing but i never saw the point in it because when i was growing up the casual couples always seemed a bit happier than the married couples, my parents included, if im with some girl and im happy with her thats always been enough for me, if some day she would want to get married then thats fine, ill do it for her but i will also be doing a pre nump, not that i have much to take but if she "loves you for you" then she'd be happy with that, personally though i dont care much for the whole thing, maybe im getting old but a lot of my friends are divorced, prob as many of my friends if not more are divorced than the ones who are happily married
