Description

For sale will be my 19 16v cabriolet when I purchase a Corsa 1.3 cdti next month. The MOT is due on the 6th of Feb but I will put a fresh 12 months on it when it comes to sell and I put 6 months tax on it last weekend.

I have owned the car since July last year and bought it on 61k and it turned 70k this week, I bought It from a guy who owned a garage in Stratford upon Avon but the car actually belonged to his wife from new and had a private number plate of D48 VAL, I have the documents to back this up and the certificate for when it was changed back to M848 CBY. I

I am the 3rd owner and it was owned from new by the guys wife I bought it off the the guy himself.

The previous owner had a full timing belt kit and tensioners fitted at 59k I have no reciept to prove this but I did take the cam cover off and it is a new belt fitted and I am more than happy to remove the cam cover for the new buyer to inspect before purchase for peace of mind.

To be honest I had lost of trouble with the car to start with (vacume leak). It took me ages to find an "O" ring on one of the injectors was too small and it was drawing in air. Before I managed to find out what the problem was I fitted the following brand new components to see if it would solve the issue;

New inlet manifold gasket
New throttle body gasket (throttle body cleaned throughout whilst off)
New Idle control valve
New Throttle position sensor
New Inlet Air temprature sensor
New Coolant Temprature sensor
New Coolant Temprature sender to the gauge on the dash
New Plugs

Then I found it to be a 99p "O" ring

Just recently I have also fitted the following Brand New parts to my car;

2 New Front wheel bearings (I will be fitting 2 rear before it sells for peace of mind)
2 New track rod ends
2 New ball joints
New lambda sensor
New Front left engine mount
New Full set of HT leads
Another 4 New spark plugs
New thermostat
New clutch cable
New Fuel filter
New Oil filter
New Clear side repeaters
Full New exhaust system from cat back plus all rubbers, clamps, etc...

The wheels have some slight scuff's (like that when I bought it) but not too bad, if I was keeping the car I would get them refurbed in the summer but no point in this weather, there is also a spare 19 16v alloy with centre cap as a spare.

There is only one peice of rust on the car it's about half the size of a 5p on the tip of the bonnet but you can't really notice it. Everything works as it should... windows, fog lights etc...

I have uprated the speakers to mid's and tweeters and the sound is crystal clear, it has a jvc face off CD player.

Roof is like new! no rips, tears, marks and the window at the rear is perfect transparent.

Interior is like new unmarked throughout even on the drivers bolster

any bad points I can think of...

As I mentioned the wheels have very slight scuffs
Tiny peice of rust on the edge of the bonnet
Some minor trolley dents (only what you expect from a car this age)
the back lights are different as you can see from the photo's one is a slighty different shade.
F16 ie engine cover is not fitted it was given to me with the car though, the clips for it are missing.
Someone has picked a tiny peice off the gear knob

The car is 17 years old and it is not a show car but for it's age I would say it is in rather good condition. One thing I have loved about it is the fact it is so rare and I am always getting a few looks in it. I was tempted to modify it but I think it would just ruin it and I don't think I would find one this clean again.

I would be happy to answer any questions or take some close up photo's for anyone interested.

I will be looking for a Renault 5 GT Turbo in a month or two so I would be willing to do a deal if interested, must be standard and white with origonal decals... engine not that important i.e. running issues not a problem I will be building another engine for it anyway. cash either way... I would put up to 2k your way.

The car is running 100% no knocks, bangs, rattles, smoke etc... You will not be dissapointed.

Looking for £1200ono

I paid £1150 for the car last July and I have a invoice from the guy I bought it from, plus I have spent a good few £££'s on it to get it running like it should.
