RENAULT 9 1.4 TLE, 1983 (Y), Light Blue Metallic, 43,000 miles, MOT June 14.

30 years old, Renault 9 1.4 TLE in excellent original condition. This car has been dry stored for several years and has recently been put back on the road having passed a new MOT test.

Bodywork: This is in exceptional condition for its year and doesn't appear to have ever had any paintwork from new.

Interior: This again is in fantastic condition with the velor seats showing no major signs of age or wear. All the original features remain including the press button AM - LW radio. The car does have front electric windows, however the passenger window does not currently work.

Engine: The car has seen very little use since coming out of storage and the engine runs a little lumpy when cold, but then runs smoothly when warmed up. A little servicing and further use should have her running perfectly.

MOT: the car has a full MOT from June 13. There were a couple of advisories regarding the brakes but this is understandable given it being off the road for several years. Again, a little use should see an improvement, although on the road, they work well and pull the car up straight and smoothly.

This R9 has had 2 previous owners, the last since 1986. The car comes with 2 sets of keys, its original handbooks and a bundle of old bills, reciepts and sorn notices etc.

Summary: A real rare car on UK roads, this is a proper useable modern classic. Perfect for a little old school driving fun as is, or ideal as a base for a concourse project.

Had a look on wiki and there's no TLE listed, is it a TXE?

Is it a phase 1 or 2?

Is there a few pics to look at?

1983 will be a phase 1
TLE wil have 1.4 or a 1.1 engine where the TXE had a 1.7

I've posted a couple of pics, but waiting for them to be 'modorated' again!

I was considering a 2.0 182 engine transplant and maybe a fabricated wide arch kit, but I really don't have the time, and its such an original car it would be a shame to butcher it!
