We fill up the club stand by about 8.30 and pack about 5pm, from past meetings people start to leave the grounds from 4pm.

Thinking of coming down to this event to represent Scotland any ideas as what time it finishes for traveling back up to Edinburgh. Can any club member join the club stand as never been to one of these events before?

Any members can join the club stand. You're welcome to convoy down with us too on the Saturday! I'm from Lancaster so you could always get a cheap travelo lodge down here and then its not too earlier a start for you.

i know i have tickets etc but at the moment i'm only a possibly guys and gals,

i'm just a little concerned about the fresh paint and dust, not a good mixture..lol

Stevo.. the rally section has been knocked on the head this year, because of all the dust it generated last year. We can do car guarding in shifts.. taking it in turn.. lol

i'll play it by ear mate... i watched a chap yesterday polish time and time again on a single panel (4 hours or more on half the roof). now to me that take a lot of dedication and a real passion for producing such a high standard of finish to a car. i would feel awfull if for some unknown reason anything happened to my car after all this care and attention to detail was scratched by someone.

what time does the public gate open. if i do come i think it will be only a flying visit..lol

i know yorself shaun you've spent a lot of time and money getting your car as you want it.. and im in the same boat.. i just get a little concerned about people getting a little jelous or spiteful..

i remember walking around WRS a couple of years ago. walking through one of the carparks looking at some nice cars, to find a 430 ferrari which had been keyed from one end to the other..

maybe its just me being silly but we'll see :race:

Steve the gates open at 7am and we do hope for all the cars being on the stand soon as possible, moving about afterwards is hampered by pedestrians.

I can see quite a few Vees on the list that have had the bodyshop magic, proudly displaying this work would be my aim as recognition of the skill. Big Steve has been to the bodyshop and I was looking forward to seeing his, but he's bringing a van with all the club gear instead. I do hope all the examples from jaytek's place won't be unavailable on the day.

Also, I hear there's a very interesting line up of numbers to look forward too viewing. I hope they are all going to be present. :approve:

I think you know I totally understand your concerns Stevo. I'll be hovering around my car all day, or at least sharing the 'car/baby sitting' with someone else thats like minded in our club.
It would be great to see your car and all the others to come from the Jaytek body shop on display, been looking forward to it. But its your decision at the end of the day.... i'd be utterly gutted if you came and got the car damaged in any way, either at the show or en-route, because you'd been persuaded into coming by myself and others.
To me though, the draw of meeting up with everyone and seeing whats been done to their cars and indeed the drive up there.. getting into the car and getting out and about in it after all the time, effort and money its cost me is too much to resist. Its my pride and joy!

Honestly, though mate I understand your concerns but I think there will be enough of us there on the day that there's always gonna be someone around fron the club. Buit like shaun said wouldn't want to influence u as its your
Decison either way.

Also having paintwork done before the show just to make sure car is looking the best and then trying to drive 300 plus miles with out getting any stone chips.
Then 300 miles back home at warp speed and then deal with the new chips the next week after the show.

Someone add me please! I have booked some track time as well. Just one question I havent bought my helmet yet but will they allow me to wear a motorbike helmet on track or must it be a car helmet?
