this might sound dumb...but on several occasions now..I have found the vee slides better when turning clockwise...on an old lake district meet in my mk1..there was a leafy wet carpark..and when I tried doh-nuts in a left hand direction..it wouldnt...so i tried full right hand lock..and it did them perfectly..

something worth attempting??
