F7P/R head onto F3P/R block

Does it fit? Also, does anybody know which F3P/R engines have chain driven oil pump?

Thanks in advance.:)

f7r 714 which is what ive got and it has a chain driven oil pump

I know it has, mate. That's the reason I'm asking. F7P/R engines without chain driven pumps are just a question of time. There's no replacement for oil pump pulley bearing. Renault don't have them anymore, so goodbye properly rebuilded F7P or F7R 700/710.:(

Is spacing between head bolts on F3 and F7 the same?

The head bolt pattern is the same, but that's not the issue.

Main problem is that the oilways dont match up

Hmmm, they miss for how much? Are they on totally oposite sides or...?

Edit: I just checked a few pictures and I think I know what you mean. But I think I know a solution. A F7P/R head would need redesign of oil ways and a little grinding and other work, but in the end it would fit and work.
