Hi I need advice on why the idle wont drop below 2 1/2 after its been above 5 when hot. Then turn it off and back on again and it's fine? Other then that its running fine. Help please
 
I'd be looking at the idle speed control valve.

When it's running high and should be idling, give the ISCV a few taps with a screwdriver or something. Might be getting stuck open.
