F7 Standard Sump Baffles HELP

A

andybond1

Right i think im missing one, and i believe williams baffles are different to the 16v setup. has anyone got any pictures of what it should be like?!

wrong, there are 2 types of baffle and 2 types of sump, they may be phase different or just what ever was on the pallet at che renault at the time, either way need to have the sump that matches the baffle and oil pump shroud. its a set thats required, 3 parts, pump shroud, baffle itself and the sump to go with it

what u done with yours? :?

Ok well ill show you the bits i have...........................

Right this is really making me angry and almost think i picked up the wrong baffle or something wheni was at craigs?!

Must be a williams one as Gaz's is different, and he claims his is a 16v setup, so lets say i have a williams setup then....

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT BEFORE I ACTUALLY GO INSANE>

Thats the same setup as my 16v pump i have in the back of my car, You probably have done this laine but out of the 4 bolts that actually bolt the pump to the block the longer ones go to the front of the block, check there not the other way around, Also, some of the oil pump bolts, theres 3 6mm ones are longer than others if i remember correctly, might just need swapping around, make sure there all in and biting on the thread before you tighten them up

looking at your last picture laine, the 6mm bolts you have in that side of the pump, should be in the other side, there the longer ones to allow for the baffle...

The ones the other side are exactly the same length mate.

CAn you take a pic and show me mate, i would highly appreciate it

lol just a pic of ALL the baffles, how they affix on, is your sump baffle the same as mine, or is it like gaz's? CHEERS MATEY!!

Got the pump in front of me, 2 of the 6mm bolts are 10mm longer than the other 3, the bolts that hold the pump to the block are different sizes, 2 10mm longer than the others
Baffles the same as your pictured

Ok so it seems some F7's are much more heavily baffled than others then. IF your telling me that your engine only have that one baffle attached to the oil pump, and that one in the sump, then thats good enough for me, and i will get different bolts.

Looking at it, the main baffle doesnt have any side holes for extensions to be bolted to (unlike cliolords version of baffles...), so i must be OK?!

So all i will do is go and get some new bolts i guess.

OK a chat with number1 on MSN has confirmed there are only those 2 baffles in my setup, however the bolts that dont fit right are wrong, and DIalogys confirms this, the ones that bottom out should be 10mm or so longer, and the ones that stick out too far should be shorter!!

I havent got a clue how it was all bolted together in the first place tho! guess ill never know now!

mine has the two baffle set up...buts its a 16valver...

thought all willys had the upgraded baffle set..
