Megane F4RT Engine Oil Options?

Alright guys - bit of a can of worms maybe here.......

Just wondering what oil I should be using and how often is best practise to change for the usage my car gets.

I has been mildly tuned to 255 BHP from the stock 227; and has always have OEM 5w40 - Elf Oil

My question is, given the cars track usage, is it prudent to change it earlier than the service schedule and also is it worth uprating the oil to something that's designed for track use, or would I just be wasting my money as I don't really run much power in the grand scheme of things?

I personally use the Millers Nanodrive.

Opie oils - on here - sometimes have deals on it as well.

Cheers Andy - yeah I had had a good look at his stock.

I had the oil changed only 1.5k ago - so its more for the radar at the moment - though I'll probably change it before the first track outing of 2016

The oil gets a lot darker a lot quicker with the track use I've noticed.....which will seem common sense to most, but its all new to me lol

Track use is hard use. If you do road and track halve the mileage/time schedules for everything.
If its mainly track call it on the oil colour and amount of track time you do.

No car ever died from having too many services.

I would bin it every 3k tops if your using it hard on track. Its cheap enough for a gallon of oil and gen filter.

yeah its only £34 for the 6L of OEM Elf and the OEM filter - very small cost in the grand scheme of things.
