i know this has been asked before. (i have read the posts)
i am looking to purchase an exhaust for the vee and i am stuck between the ktec and the qs sports.here are some question on them:-

1 are there any performance gains from the ktec and the qs sports?

2. is there much difference in sound between the two.

3 does the qs sport droon inside the car as it is a daliy drive

i will be adding a induction kit at the same time

i had a sport qs, sounded great....but as you see below, i gained bhp but lost mid range torque, i thought the zorst lifet a flat spot i could feel, but in fact it droped the power so the flat spot felt like a peak....the diferences are minute, but ad say the sound out waeigs the perfance losses in terms of worth while ability.....

I've got the k-tec, lovely sounding exhaust, not too loud...I hate loud exhausts.

We'll see the gains soon when i hit the RR!

Janspeed full system (inc manifolds) with or wthout sports cats shows definite performance improvements.

IIRC ~10BHP up on standard and more torque lower down with sports cats.

Full decat should be even better! My car certainly pulls like a train! :badgrin:

The thing is apparently the stock manifolds are quite restrictive.

Only issue is sports cats and full decat will light the emissions light. Although it does not affect performance (and can be tunred off easily).

Janspeed is quieter than QS but does not drone, so is more comfortable for long journeys.

Oh and my full decat system pops and bangs like a mad-man! :badgrin:

I had the QS Sport fitted to mine and I loved it when going for a blat, but hated it when I was sat in traffic or cruising on the motorway. A really horrible drone - truly ruined the enjoyment of the car for me.

Having said that, most on this forum love the QS Sport.

Hello mate I have a quicksilver exhaust (Not the OMG Version) it is very loud and rarther boomey on the inside, However it sounds amazing on the inside under full acceleration and to pasers by its a real treat. And Unlike some ive noticed a nice bit of a power gain mostly low down .

K-tec will have a new style CLIO V6 MK 1 PERFORMANCE MANIFOLDS AND LINK PIPE coming out, wonder how many hps gain?
