Entering immobiliser code

G

Guest

Right after playing around with the stupid button on the end of the right stick i now have to blip my central locking from the key before starting the car which is annoying as i dont use that to open the car as the battery is too low.
So I have two questions:
How do i input the code into the car (i have the immobiliser code)
AND
How do i register a different key to the remote locking when i put my new ignition barrel in?

Thank you :D

Isn't that the button on the end of the stalk? I think my ECU (not for sale) is a ph1 R19 type ..

yeah the button on the end of the stalk, afaik it replaces the centre locking one in terms of the immob

Key into the ignition, and the electrical light will be flashing (imob armed).

Can't remember whether you hold down the accelerator pedal while you enter the digits into the stalk button or whether you press and release between digits, but either way you fully depress the pedal and release.

Try either if one doesn't work, but either way, as long as you count off the numbers correctly, the light on the dash will stop flashing, telling you the imob is disarmed.

aye you can do that, my key has a different circuit board in it from when i got it, i went to a scrappy found a car with the sensor and the keys still in it, took them both put the sensor in my car and the circuit board from the other cars key into my key.

did you have to change the ecu as well or did u keep it because it was a phase 1? my immobiliser light doesnt even come on any ideas?
