Engine movement

Just noticed that I get a bit of engine movement when I accelerate. Cant feel it under hard acceleration, more when I am at 2000rpm and accelerate say in 4th. Can feel the engine rocking back. Would that be the top mount. If it is, how do I get to it. From the top or bottom. Dont want to leave this as I had a bad experience with a clio top engine mount before....

Its pretty much definatly the bottom mate. Mine went just before Dieppe so I had to make a new one and it was loads better! Just need to get a completly new one myself now. lol

right!!! just taken the car to work for one of my techs to look at. After much shock he finally realised the magnitude of the lump under the nice smooth deceptive covers. After a good inspection he noticed that in fact the top right engine mount is the culprit. Quite a bit of movement in it at the bulkhead end and at the other end. Is this common? So I now need to order a few parts. Does anyone know if the mount is one part or even better have the part number so I can order them part directly from head office and get a few squids off. While he was looking he noticed that some cables were running a bit close to certain parts of the engine so will get that sorted. He also noticed that the front hubs still have most of the parts to just slot in drive shafts. Could be interresting for a 4 wheel drive job!!!!

At least I have found the problem and heducated a few people at work about the Vee. In fact they were more interrested in the Vee than the brabus Cl 65 we had in the owrkshop. Almost lost it when the company PA came down and said. "Oh my younger brother has a bodykit on his car!!"  I am sure she meant well.....

Thank you all for your help. Looked at the Ebay item but I also needed the bush that fits at the other end. £45 for the 2 parts which is an absolute result. I have the part number if anybody is interrested.

The part called the travel limiter is 82-00-400-177 which is a new part number and costs £37.44 +vat
The bush is 82-00-020-093 costs £25.34 + Vat

Thanks again

Exellent. Just got back from work after having fitted my new top mount. Removed all the covers following the instructions from the knowledge section talking about replacing the air filter (very good instructions). Was nice to see the engine completely uncovered. Had to remove the whole mount to replace to mount and job done and back to gether in 1.5 hours as per renault time. Well chuffed I have been able to play a little with the car and now it feels ok. Will give it a good test tomorrow on the way to Mallory park. Anyone else going to the Rtoc day?

I need Item number 4. Bush V6 C2 for a phase I rigth engine mount. Does anyone know where to get it?
Renault or other after market shops can not supply it. Can't find it online in stock as well.

I checked with Peugeot and Citroen but they use a different engine mount.
