Engine light permanently off

Don't know if it already has been mentioned, but I took out the secondairy Oxygen sensors, plugged the holes, combined the two connectors into one of the sensors.
Just fix the oxygen sensor somewhere in the enginebay, and keep the other as a spare.
I'm running over 4000 miles with this configuration, and the engine light doesn't come on anymore.
 
Just a though for you Harry, On my peugeot 106 when decatted I also done this,left the sensor connected and just in the engine bay but did have to cover it with a metal tube,the sensor burnt hot to detect any air so if incorrectly placed in the engine bay could cause a fire, Not sure if the Clio sensor works in the same way but just worth considering.
