Earthing problem

My V has developed a weird fault.

When I brake the dash lights come on as if I have the lights on. When I turn my headlights on my brake lights stay on???

Any ideas. Wiring in the rear light clusters as I know that was a bit of a mess?

PH 1s used to suffer from corrosion on the rear clusters. That’s all the technical I know.

Sounds like a light earthing fault on the stop and tail bulbs, the brake lights are earthing back through the power feed to the side lights, back end will be like a Christmas tree at night!! Clean all the contacts and connections to see if that fixes it, pgrobably just corrosion so grease up after cleaning to slow down a repeat.

That sounds like the wrong bulb fitted to me , single filament forced bulb in a twin filament holder so either way everything lights up .
