Dryclough Lane Garage, Halifax....thumbs up

A problem developed with the thermostat on my Vee a couple of weeks ago and I wasn't sure exactly what it was. I remember seeing Rick (Richard) a couple of months ago in his Vee and posted up.....

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13542

I went to see Richard and explained the problem to him and he instantly knew what the issue was, ordered the parts required and got me booked in - if I'd have taken it to Renault no doubt they want it for 10 hours just to find out what the problem was.

I got chatting to Richard anyway and he showed me his nice collection or Renaults; a Clio V6 in Acid, an immaculate Avantime, an immaculate Sport Spider (yummy) and a Clio 200 cup.

I took the car in yesterday for the work doing - he turned it around in quick time with very reasonable labour costs and probably more importantly it's a great piece of mind knowing the person sorting out your Vee is a fellow enthusiast who'll look after it.

I definitely recommend Richard and his garage (phone number 01422 382600) if you are anywhere along the M62 corridor or even further afield.....luckily for me he's only a 2 minute drive from my work.

No that's fine - labour rates are £42.50 + vat....plus parts (replacement thermostat, bleeding out of cooling system, replacement antifreeze etc).

Total price was around £300 inc vat & courtesy car for the day......I'm guessing a Renault garage would be double that.

Good stuff, convenient with a courtesy car too :approve:
