5 GT Turbo Drivers Door Dropped

Hi all, making good progress on my tungy 5 I bought the other month, a niggle im in the process of sorting now is the drivers door has dropped. I'm in unfamiliar territory here and not sure what I need to sort it out. Looking at replacement parts, there's door hinge pins and door hinge roll pins? is there any difference in what they do and where they go at all? and could it be down to them why my door has dropped? or a door check strap split pin or the torx door hinge roll pins?

To me most of these parts look the same?

It would be very helpful if someone could shed some light on this problem/these parts for me at all lol or know what is going wrong and could tell me the correct part needed.

Thanks (y)O:)

The hinges will either have a screw in Torx headed pin or a normal hammer in roll pin.
Check strap has a smaller roll pin.
If door is worn you can either fit a bush kit with screw in or drill out to fit larger 8mm? roll pins.

you need to look at you pins first, and see if they are hollow or have a torx head.
replacing the pins will probably fix the drooping door, but you might have to bend the hinge itself a bit if its overly worn.

Thanks guys, mine doesnt have the torx pins, the door still shuts, sometimes it takes a couple of tries but when you open it, thats when you can feel it drop a little, new pins are ony £3 so cheap fix, is it a reasonably easy job to do?

it can be pretty tough to get the old pins out, but if you have someone to help you it's not too bad.
i used a hinge pin removal tool to remove the top one, but i had to use a long steel rod as a punch, as it wouldn't budge without a lot of force.

as for the bottom pin, i ended up pushing the old pin downwards (using the same steel rod), first with a properly sized punch, then the new pin once it fit, cutting the old pin in half using a dremel when it hit the bottom bend of the door.

haha, mines in for uprated gaskets, new radiator/oil cooler combo, clutch adjustment, new hoses, new dizzy/rotor/leads and plugs, new air filter, new starter motor, new battery, new locks all round, new door trim, fixing a few cracks/stone chips in front bumper oh my the list goes on and on! The ongoing pain of a 5GTT owner haha got to love it! :v
