Thread moved from HERE

It seems like a downhill mountain biking trip is on the cards, to be at Aston Hill sometime early in the new year.

Possible attendees so far:
Phil
Duncan
Matt
Dan
Phil?

For anyone unsure of what this will entail, I will post some video links tonight, but youtube is your friend :)

Will this be like propper down hilling? Would love to drag my bike and helmet out of the cobwebs. Sounds great! I doubt my single speed will keep up on the flatter parts though lol.

Brett, it's more of a steep, rooty downhill section. I don't remember a significant amount of flat-ish bits.

If I remember correctly, you can bomb it down in just a few minutes, but there are several different ways of getting down which is half the fun i.e., which route do you dare!!

Don't think the single speed brompton will cope and flogged my mountain bike last year :( if I get another one, I'm in!

I'd love to have joined you guys, but a) it's too far away and b) my bike is an all mountain full sus, not technically a downhill bike??

Any days or dates that suit people?

I try to ride on Sunday mornings whilst nothing much else is going on, I'm pretty clear most Sundays in Jan & Feb if that suits?

I (currently) ride a hard tail Colin, fine to do the big stuff, just can't take as many liberties!
