Dephaser Pulleys from Peugeot? ? ?

superg

New Member
Hi Guys,

I have read a fair bit about these pulleys.... Been told that getting them from Renault is highly unlikely. From speaking to Scott today he tells me they can be sourced from Peugeot. Has anyone got any experience of this or can offer part numbers for these from Peugeot?

Thanks

Damn cant see.... wont join till I secure the car and would appreciate part numbers etc to help me buy the car...

Catch 22 ha ha

There's a huge wealth of information visible on cars history to members that will help stop you buying a shed! It's far cheaper to join first than find out after you have bought the wrong car.

If you can't afford to join, you can't afford to look after the car! You will probably save the cost of membership from the info held on nearly all the cars alone!!

Ha ha...

Its not a case of that. I have wanted another V6 for a long time but always seem to be in the wrong situation. I will join that way I can badger you all for help [smilie=thanks.gif]

Once you're a member, nobody will consider any of your questions a "badgering" at all. A super helpful community, with plenty delighted to share their encyclopaedic knowledge [smilie=yay.gif].

Seriously Graham it's best to join this very helpful club before you buy, the amount of info.available is incredible and may well assist in avoiding a potential purchase that's got a bit of unfortunate history [smilie=icon_eek.gif] [smilie=icon_eek.gif] [smilie=icon_eek.gif]

Thanks guys...

Was considering L30 RSP too but with the cambelt and potential dephaser issue means work required would push an extra £2500 so think I'm going to hold on. For another with less mileage etc.

May consider the phase one as advertised by Andy T motors on ebay / autotrader etc.

I wouldn't be too put off - cambelt bills are one of life's certainties as a Vee owner - so purchasing when one is due could be considered 'a useful bargaining tool'.

(NB That comment is a general statement and not a comment on that particular vehicle.)

Its the depasher cost and overall mileage etc ........

A few unknowns etc. Will keep an eye out for something less on the miles. Sure its a good car though just not for me

Just got this car drove 150 miles down the m1 swapped it for my bmw with a little cash my way. I did have my doubts like you, but glad I got it there is a slight noise from the dephasers at start up but goes away it's not a daily for me so I'm in no rush.
The belt is due in November but only done 23000 since last change so will get that done with the dephasers already spoke to Scott about getting done.
The body work and interior are in very good condition and it runs sweet so no regrets :)
