recently purchased some twr de cat pipes for the vee, i believe they remove the section between the manifold and the collector box, whats peoples reckoning about fitting them, will there be a noticable difference, also running a QS sport exhaust..

was hoping maybe less boom from removing the cats but not really sure weather that would make any difference

Basicly it will be loud. very, cats are like mufflers.

Ive OMG and TWR decats and its very very very focking loud ask SteveV6 he loves it NOT.

I really must be honest it sounds lush but its awfull to drive I know Steve will agree, not sure what to do with it yet but then I dont drive it everyday (not atall at the mo)

ive got a ktr back box on my mk1.i wouldnt mind taking the cats out.will it be as loud i know the qs back boxs are alot louder than the ktr sports back box? :s

i got mine second hand mate, ktec do a complete system inc manifolds...


trust me, it's very loud, not as loud with the ktec system, but a very nice sound indeed, crisp,sharp sound not droning like a qs box
