Noticed on my v6 ph2 the front damper the bottom cups which the spring sits and locates in, onto the damper are heavily corroded.

The car either new cups making else replacement dampers bought.

My question is are these dampers exclusive to the v6 or are they generic and easily available at a realistic price . I’m
Gonna guess there rare and ill have to manufacture some new cups. I’m gonna presume it’s the latter unfortunately.

I'd get the unit refurbed, it's unlikely with the thickness of metal there it will have detrimented the integrity. Blast/powder coat, rebuild internals.
