Custom 'OMFG' Exhaust..

Not really pointless. Posted quickly to see how intrigued some people may be..

The idea behind this exhaust system will be to allow people to choose how they would like there car to sound and perform depending on budget and personal preference

There will be 3 stages in both collector box design and rear silencer design as follows..

Stage 1 - Collector box w/race cats

Stage 2 - Collector box w/silencer

Stage 3 - Collector box straight pipe

Stage 1 - Rear section w/large silencers

Stage 2 - Rear section w/small silencers

Stage 3 - Rear section straight pipe

At the moment im not sure on pricing but it will be considerably cheaper than the alternatives on the market

Im aware of that..

Like i said this would give lots of options, meaning that you could potentially go full straight pipe for high end power combined with mapping or race cats and rear silencer etc..

Its just an idea anyways

My cars only 2 years old so i dont have to worry for a little while but yeah i do..

Im thinking of having manifolds made too but was thinking of going the janspeed route as there proven to fit well and most importantly work!

This has been discussed before.

Improved flow replacement items for each component in the standard exhast system. This would give bit by bit improvements you can tailor to the use and budget. Unlike Janspeed where you must go the whole hog in one go as they are not interchangeable.

An interesting idea but costly to develop and (like all specific V6 items), with limited market.

Good luck. Hope you can make it fly! Back boxes that are standard fit are popular, maybe collector box replacements etc could be too.

Peter :D

Just remove the collector box - the car wil stil pass the MOT as the two pre cats are in the manifolds.

am i right in thinking your from up t north jonny???

IMHO the stock sound of my Mk2 Vee is ace and just what I want in terms of quiet off power and banshee sounding at full chat - I have no interest in another exhaust for noise or power.

I can see why people would want a noiser exhaust though but it's just not for me.

There is another one around..

What colour is yours? mk1 mk2?

mk2 silver, nah can't say i've seen yours then unless its the one at cleveland cables????
