Custom Exhaust

Thought i'd get a quick video of the V6 exhaust before it's removed once I find a pot of gold to cover that and the cambelt change.

Is the movement on the exhaust excessive? ie. engine mount or is this normal or maybe just as it's a custom exhaust? or is it due to fact it just moves with the engine?

Anyway I've never heard any V6 aftermarket exhaust in person but this is loud in my opinion especially in the car, the video tones it down as they do on the OMG but it pops alot and burbbles.

To be honest I love the sound hate the look of it :(

Sounds just right, looks dangerous for walking past in shorts! Is a little black smoke natural on the phase 1's ?

Aye not a fan of the look, I keep trying to find another exhaust but no-one is selling up :(

2 people on Pistonheads have listed cars with Quiksilver exhausts and the standard exhausts and i've offered both over £400 for the Quiksilver which would make them a nice £300+ profit even if they took to a garage to change the exhausts back over but not even a reply :(

Changing the exhaust back wouldn't even de-value the car so it would be £300+ for losing the car for 3-4 hours for the exhaust. I know i'd take it.

As for the black smoke doesn't usually do that, but it had been sat there for 2 weeks so maybe that was why?

It's off to GDI in a week for a full check-up, service, cambelt change so if anything is out of sorts i've ever faith in them to spot and sort.
